We had a nice site by the river, but it's a little hard to figure out the sites and where to put your camper. It was wet when we were there, and a lot of mud (gravel was inadequate). We were there during the week, so it was very quiet. This would be a great place for kids, as there are a lot of open fields and a great (old quarry?) swimming hole with lots of floating inflated toys. It's a beautiful setting, but the physical setup leaves a little to be desired. It's older and shows it. Restrooms were reasonably clean. They are the combination toilet/shower/sing restrooms which we like a lot.

We had a great campsite that backed up to a stream and was well shaded. Easy to level. We were able to get Wireless Internet. The rule about paying $5 to dump if you use a W&E site seemed strange. Was cheaper to rent full hookup (which may be the point) for two nights. The bathroom floors are badly in need of resurfacing. Nice campground convenient to Hannibal.

I don't think we've ever stayed in a worse RV park. We were forced to stay here when we had car trouble. The place is right next to a highway bypass and close to train tracks. It is very poorly maintained and the restrooms are dirty. The women's restroom was locked, and you had to get a key from the manager (who is not on site, but at a nearby pizza place), and take it right back. The electricity did not work at first site we tried. The water hydrants are makeshift. There are absolutely no amenities that we could see. We only saw the manager twice; once when we went to the pizza place to pay, another time when he drove around to be sure everyone had paid. If you have a choice, do not stop here! Drive on to Wakeeney or Cedar Bluff Reservoir.

This is a really nice campground. The sites are huge, well-maintained, and level. Park personnel are very nice. There are several campgrounds on each side of the lake - we stayed in the Broken Spur area. Nice tent camping areas. The one problem we encountered there was that there was no hot water in the showers. The staff told us the next morning that they would look into it. We would stay here again, assuming the hot water is fixed!

This campground was very nice for an overnight stop. There is a water & electric for your RV, but the campground has no showers or plumbed restrooms. There is a dump station across the road. The grass sites are very clean and we had no problem leveling our trailer. The county road nearby carries a lot of traffic, but wasn't that bad. The original Bob Evans restaurant is right down the road for great eating! This part of Ohio is beautiful and worth a drive.

The campground has two areas - an older area with lots of shade trees and a newer area with better roads. We chose the older area and enjoyed the huge campsites and lots of trees. There is one road in the older area that is pretty rough, but we were warned about it, and you'd be able to avoid it unless the campground was very full. I liked the fact that there wasn't a lot of light pollution, but we felt very secure. The showers are individual rooms, and it is kind of hard to use them and keep your clothes in a dry place in the room. We loved the proximity to Richmond and would definitely stay here again.

We loved this campground! There are a lot of tall trees and the area is secluded and quiet. There are sites for any taste - flat open sites for large RVs and the more rustic areas for people like us. Many of the sites are huge, but size varies considerably. The new building is wonderful - showers and restrooms are clean and roomy. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The campground is only 10 minutes from a brand new shopping center. We found lots to do, and followed the advice of staff to not tackle I-95 until after 8:30! We would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful park. We were lakeside, and the geese left us alone. We enjoyed having a fire. The lake is nice, but vegetation getting heavy. The manager says they will probably dredge the lake soon. The manager, is VERY nice and helpful. There is a nice playground area. The showers are a little tight. Location is great - convenient to a lot of scenic drives, but is secluded and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

We chose this campground on the basis of other reviews, and were not disappointed. It's one of the nicest places we've stayed. It is very peaceful and quiet, except for an occasional train. We had rain during the three nights we stayed here, so were thankful for the concrete patio area. Staff and park manager were very nice. We were leaving the day the park was to be booked full for a bluegrass concert, and we were allowed to park our camper near the office so we could visit Jamestown after checkout time. The only problem was difficulty of finding anyone after the office closed at 5 p.m. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Williamsburg area.

This is a very clean and attractive campground. This is a family enterprise, and the son and his wife were in charge while we were here. They were very helpful and advised us on places to shop and eat. The woman who checked us in was also very nice and helpful. We did not think the rules were any stricter than any other well-run campground. WiFi is provided by an outside service and cost us $5.95 for three days. The showers were clean, but I did not like the fact that there was no outer dressing area for privacy. Four shower stalls shared the same curtained area. Also, the shower heads are out of reach. Also, there is a lot of road noise from nearby Highway 37 bypass.

The campground has a very nice setting, but the sites have no trees. There is a staff problem, and no one was there when we arrived on a Thursday. It seems to be staffed only during the day on weekends. The skunks were gone. The restrooms were quite clean, contrary to earlier reviews. The showers are timed, but you can keep pushing to keep the water going. Park away from the front of the park to avoid the whine of the sewer treatment plant. This place is quite nice for the price. Be sure to visit the Exhibition Coal Mine if you are in the area.

Campsites are not level and are grass and dirt. The setting is very nice - the lake was pretty low when we were there. The staff is very nice. There is a playground for kids. This would be a nice destination park for kids and families visiting Cumberland Falls State Park.

A nice campground for an overnight stop. Nice level sites, cable TV, and WiFi. Guest hostess very nice. Be sure to visit Lambert's for dinner. Lambert's will give you a free ride. Close to a U.S. Highway, so there is some highway noise. There is only one shower in the restrooms, but it is clean.

We were here after heavy rains, and the gravel and dirt roads were not in very good shape. This is an older campground near a lake. It has not been well maintained. There were a lot of permanent campers while we were here because of a power plant being constructed nearby. WiFi costs extra. There is a pool, miniature golf course, and play ground. Very clean restrooms. We probably would not stay here again.

This campground is definitely for families with children. Roads are not paved and we had some difficulty leveling our travel trailer. This is not a park for large rigs. It is best suited to tents, pop-ups and small trailers. It is handy to the attractions in the area and owners were helpful.

This is a wonderful campground! It is located in a quiet valley that is just minutes away from Durango. The owners, Cheryl and Joe, are gracious hosts. There are several very nice host couples who guide you to your site, tour the area to see if there is anything to be done, keep the campground meticulously neat, or stop for a friendly talk. A previous review notes that not all campsites are created equal, but we were satisfied with ours, and most are very nice, if somewhat close together. Other guests are sociable, and we enjoyed the ice cream social. This is definitely a destination campground; we stayed for over a week. The only thing missing was a WiFi connection.

This campground has a very nice setting, with great views of the mountains. Got a spectacular sunrise! The staff (owners?) are very nice. We were not at all bothered by the highway noise, as most sites are far enough away from the road.

The roads in this campground are gravel, but we had a nice grassy site for our W&E hookup. Johanna welcomed us and was always happy to answer our questions. The host couple was very nice, and all hosts contributed their efforts to a Sunday morning pancake feed. The campground also had a campfire complete with singing on Saturday night. It is right on US24, but we were not at all bothered by highway noise - we were back and there are trees to block the sound. The awesome Collegiate Peaks are right across the road. You must pay extra to a private contractor for WiFi.

This is a very acceptable place for a night's stay in southwestern Kansas. We had no trouble leveling on the grassy sites. There is a lake near the campsites, but water was very low this time of the year.

We had a nice campsite right on the Ohio River. We were here with only 7 or 8 other campers. Things might get pretty tight if the campground is full, as camp sites are close together. Eighteen sites are right on the banks of the Ohio River, where we could sit and watch barges go by. The campground is pretty quiet for an urban setting. The bathrooms are so old, it is hard to tell whether or not they were clean.

Because we had a 19-foot travel trailer, we did not have trouble fitting on a site. The campground was sparsely populated when we were there, so we didn't experience the problems other reviewers have had. We were able to park at an adjoining site, but could have parked on gravel on the camp site. Loop (with playground) is truly one-lane only. Some larger rigs were pulled in perpendicular to the camp sites, and so could fit. The campground has a small store. Because they are in the park, it is handy to the Falls and Lodge.

This campground has a beautiful setting right on the Kentucky River. While the sites are not shaded, the campground is surrounded by trees. It is far removed from traffice noise. We were here during a very wet and cold period, so there were hardly any other campers. There are 19 improved tent sites and a playground.

Technically, this campground is in Virginia, but I would have looked for it in Tennessee. The sites on this campground are widely spaced, with lots of shade trees between you and your neighbor. The restrooms are brand new, clean, well-maintained, and heated. While there is no water hookups, there is a water supply at the restroom area and a place to fill your water tanks at the dump station. Big rigs would have a hard time in this park; but we did see one 35 foot coach. The campground is a series of loops and was initially confusing, because there was no one on site and there were no maps. The campground uses self-registration. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this campground.
